Have you ever questioned why some Doodles have more open coats that are also flatter and longer, while others have a curlier appearance? This is all genetics at work, and because doodles aren’t purebred dogs, they’re always developing and changing.
For people looking for specific colours, coat type and furnishings, we need to look at the genetics to figure out how these variations happen. Just because a dog is black, doesn’t guarantee it will only produce black puppies in the case of poodles. There hasn’t been as much time (or as many generations) to build a set type because the doodle has only been around for a few decades.
Some puppies will resemble retrievers, while others will look like poodles. F2 breeding is inconsistent, and for individuals who want to know what their puppy will look like, the most consistency comes from F1, F1b and multi-gen to denote that there are multiple generations of doodle involved and therefore, a more defined type has been allowed to develop.
The great thing about our pups is there are fewer variables as a result of generational breeding, and we can tell you what our lines have produced before, and show you photos to give a clear idea. That way you can be assured of a doodle with a more poodle-like coat.
We have focussed on developing multiple generations of doodles (4th generation), where recessive traits were encouraged instead of masked, and are thus able to offer some insight into colour, coat and traits of future litters.
As you can see, there is a lot of science that goes into the selection of breeding mates to produce the ideal doodle. We focus on the development of our own breeds, reproduction, and puppy development to enhance health and raise puppies with the best possible temperaments, and avoid the mistakes of many other breeds regarding genetic diversity.

Our Doodles
We are a home-based breeder that does not raise our dogs or puppies in kennels. Our dogs are first and foremost our pets and family members and live with us in our home. Our parent dogs have all been raised by us, and come from quality health tested bloodlines.
We now have 4 generations of healthy bloodlines and are now extending and introducing 3rd and 4th generations bloodlines of other breeds where we will know the genetics of colours, coat types and temperament. We are creating a breeding programme based on our experience of ethical and responsible breeding. Our goal is to share the joy of these breeds with others by providing loving families with a happy, healthy puppy.
To do so, it’s vital that the parents are healthy, happy, and well-adjusted so that their puppies have the highest chance of inheriting their favourable characteristics. They are also fed high-quality natural food, get plenty of exercise, are played with, and most importantly, are loved! They are treated as an extremely important part of our family.
Our Puppies
Our puppies are conceived in our home and spend the first 8 weeks or so of their lives with us before moving on to their new homes. Puppies will have been carefully socialised, vet examined, wormed correctly and fed a high-quality, natural, additive-free, and grain-free diet, and adored since day one! New owners will receive a wealth of information, as well as assistance and help if needed.
Health and Testing
We want to make sure that families who buy a puppy from us have complete peace of mind that their puppies will live long and healthy lives. All of our girls and stud dogs are extensively DNA tested and health screened for numerous inherited conditions to ensure that our puppies will be free from any hereditary diseases that may be found in these breeds. Extensive documentation certificates are available to view and provided for all new puppy owners.
Stud Dogs
Clive is a F1 Pomapoo, available for stud duties. He is a proven first cross F1, producing some gorgeous babies. He is health screened and clear of over 300 diseases. He carries many colours and patterns in his DNA profile. Stud fee is £250 which includes 2 matings 24/48 hours apart. Fee payable on first mating after dogs tie.
